1. Acceptance

By using the MosqueSync app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Who We Are

MosqueSync is operated by Kshmr pvt ltd. Contact: support@mosquesync.com.

3. Use of the Service

  • You must use the app lawfully and respectfully. Do not misuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service.
  • Account information must be accurate; do not share others' credentials.
  • We may modify or suspend features at our discretion.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

  • All app content, code, branding, and materials are owned by us or our licensors.
  • You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app as provided.
  • Do not copy, resell, or create derivative works without permission.

5. User Content

  • If you submit content (e.g., posts, feedback), you grant us a non-exclusive license to use it for operating and improving the service.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your content is lawful and non-infringing.

6. Permissions and Device Access

The app requests the following permissions to function properly:

6.1 Location Permissions

  • Foreground Location: Used to show nearby mosques and provide accurate prayer times based on your current location.
  • Background Location (when granted): Used to update prayer notifications and nearby mosque information even when the app is not actively in use.

You can enable/disable location services at any time through your device settings. Note that disabling location may limit certain features like accurate prayer times and nearby mosque discovery.

6.2 Notification Permissions

  • Used to send you prayer time alerts, important app updates, and other app-related communications.
  • You can manage notification preferences in your device settings or within the app settings.

6.3 Storage Permissions (Android)

  • Read/Write External Storage: Used to cache app data, store offline content, and improve app performance.
  • You can manage storage permissions through your device settings.

6.4 Internet Access

  • Required to fetch prayer times, mosque information, and other real-time data from our servers.
  • The app requires an active internet connection for full functionality.

6.5 Vibrate Permission (Android)

Used to provide haptic feedback for notifications and alerts.

6.6 System Alert Window (Android)

Used for overlay features that may enhance app functionality.

6.7 Authentication Services

  • Apple Sign-In (iOS): Allows you to sign in using your Apple ID. Apple's privacy policy applies to this service.
  • Google Sign-In: Allows you to sign in using your Google account. Google's privacy policy applies to this service.

You can manage all permissions through your device settings at any time. Some features may be limited if certain permissions are denied.

7. Third-Party Services

  • Maps: Google Maps and Mapbox services for location-based features and map display.
  • Push Notifications: Expo/Firebase Cloud Messaging for delivering notifications.
  • Analytics & Crash Reporting: Services to improve app performance and reliability.
  • Authentication: Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In for user authentication.

Third-party providers process data under their own privacy policies and terms of service.

8. Payments (if applicable)

If paid features exist, pricing and billing terms are shown in-app or via the app store. All fees are non-refundable unless required by law or stated otherwise.

9. Disclaimers

  • The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or the accuracy of third-party data (e.g., maps, prayer times from external sources).

10. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability related to the app will not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the service in the last 12 months.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the app or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate access for violations or misuse.
  • You may stop using the app at any time. Certain sections (e.g., liability, indemnity) survive termination.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide in-app notice. Continued use means acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of India, unless mandatory local law applies.
